Kangana Ranaut has been fighting a long streak of disappointing films, such as I Love NY, Katti Batti, Rangoon, Simran, Manikarnika, Judgmental Hai Kya, Panga, and Thalaivi, which have failed critically and commercially. Now, Dhaakad shows up, which is unlikely to change her luck despite showing her in a never-before-seen avatar, which she nails to a T. Sadly, her action-packed avatar appears in a movie she would rarely make a note of. footer, when it deserves to go down as one of the defining action roles in all of Indian cinema. What is it about

Super-spy Agni (Kangana Ranaut) is tasked with infiltrating and taking down an international prostitution ring with roots in India, but double-crosses, an unexpected ambush and a pair of formidable enemies make her reevaluate her strategies. she forces to do.

how hot

Kangana Ranaut looks, moves, and breathes the role of a rock-hard, high-octane, death-defying, skinny, mean, tough, kick-ass, daredevil personality agent in Dhaakad, in every action sequence. . Like a true professional on the battlefield with years of experience. Divya Dutta and Shashwat Chatterjee add some nice support as his antagonist and mentor respectively.

what is not

As convincing as Kangana Ranaut is with his action skills, she is deeply disappointed by the sheer, convoluted action choreography, so much so that some of the battle scenes seem like a complete joke. Beyond that, there are a lot of things about his character graph and the rest of the plot that are very convenient to carry the plot forward. Arjun Rampal, try as he might, cannot make a good impression because of how his character is portrayed. Even the big reveal at the end can be seen from miles away, and when it unfolds, it feels as if writer-director Rajneesh Razi Ghai and his co-writers Chintan Gandhi and Rinish Ravindra are on a script. I ran out, seeing how suddenly things ended. And while Dhakad doesn’t get bogged down with plot twists or slow writing, he continues to push the boundaries of disbelief to give us an unexpected laugh or have someone sing the same lullaby (literally speaking) for the fifteenth time in our lives. He takes the test of patience.

BL Verdict

Kangana Ranaut goes all out as a badass spy in Dhaakad and pulls it off, too. If only the rest of the film was even of what her character is. I’m going with 2.5 out of 5 stars.

Rating : 2.5 out of 52.5 Star Rating
