To be fair, the first maze gets a much better reputation than it deserves, at least in my opinion. It’s nowhere near the same league as one of iconic comedy director Priyadarshan’s best films, and truth be told, it’s a bit lacking in terms of horror or comedy for a horror comedy, starring mainly Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan. When clicked, the jump moves up and down. The script, and a great twist leading up to the climax, was an easy access to the Southern original before people even knew what they were doing with the new version. So while many may be hesitant about a sequel coming 15 years later and wanting to live up to its predecessor’s supposedly high standards, the reality is that Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 just needs its horror and comedy elements to become more Same. It needs to be done, more in sync and that’s half the work done there. Well, it does, and then some, with Kartik Aaryan leads Kiara Advani, Tabu, Rajpal Yadav and Sanjay Mishra, a tight script for the most part, and an even better pre-climax twist this time around. how hot

First things first Kartik Aaryan is Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is Kartik Aaryan as he has beaten Akshay Kumar from part one, walking various tightrope like comedy, emotion, romance, anxiety, swag and dance. He has given the best performance of him. . A professional, reminds everyone how a strong commercial script and a strong lead role, backed by a very good commercial actor, can give said actor the scope to show the full range of him, which might never be the case. There may be more to the art of the in-between movie. ,

Kiara Advani adds more promise to her growing skill set, holding her own despite the slightly undercooked part, while Tabu is given the larger role after Kartik, who actually acts as a catalyst for the plot. he’s doing, and there are no prizes for guessing what his pedigree is like. She chews him to the bone. As for the script, there are so many plot devices involved that everything can go terribly wrong, so kudos to Farhad Samji and Akash Kaushik for making it very simple, uncomplicated and well structured with the help of Anees. done. Bazmee’s best directing work in years.

A special nod to Akash Kaushik’s rib-tickling jokes that fly fast and dense from start to finish, without pause. Another thank you too, for the near-flawless makeup, especially in the flashbacks of how effortlessly young they make Tabu. The big twist is also very unexpected and satisfying, as there is just the right balance between horror and comedy, along with some really creepy moments that up the horror quotient.

The icing on the cake is how well all the other characters, big and small, are defined, and how well each supporting actor plays their part: Rajpal Yadav, Sanjay Mishra, Ashwini Kalsekar, and Rajesh Sharma with some great lines and lines. Make the most of the scenarios. His great comic timing. Other highlights include Manu Anand’s A-class cinematography, admirable visual effects, gorgeous production design, and Sandeep Shirodkar’s background score that is necessarily creepy or funky that collectively prevents the supernatural parts from making any sense. (Despite not spending the bomb in the technical department).

what is not

As satisfying as the preclimax is, the sequels are a bit confusing and raise questions about how things progress. The final execution also leaves a bit of an overwhelming taste in the mouth, especially compared to the previous one. Pritam and Tanishk Bagchi’s music is a huge disappointment, with no lyrics, with the forced exception of De Tali’s lesser impact. Once again editing is a problem, Bunty Nagi forgets about 20-25 minutes of the film.

BL verdict

Despite some narrative lapses during the climax and its slightly bitter aftertaste, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is a very funny and effectively chilling horror-comedy, featuring crack Kartik Aaryan in red-hot form, backed by veteran Tabu. What it does best, a tight script, Anees Bazmee’s best directing in years, a supporting cast from the game, and strong VFX, makeup, and production values, making it one of the best horror comedies in the world. Indian cinema and is an extremely rare sequel. which surpasses its predecessor in almost every aspect. I go with 3.5 out of 5 stars.
