Very few moments in the history of our subcontinent are averse to remember and yet are 

as important to history as the infamous Jallianwala Bagh massacre. The horrific incident of the ruthless, 

ruthless killing of 500 to 600 peaceful protesters at the hands of the

British imperialist regime is considered a dark chapter in the history of the Indian freedom struggle.

The Jallianwala Bagh massacre took place on April 13, 1919, 

when a group of peaceful protesters were shot at in an enclosed park with only one exit. 

To remember the souls of all the innocent people killed in this incident, 

the Government of India erected a memorial in 1951. A museum was also opened in March 2019, 

known as the Yaad-e-Jallian Museum, to keep an authentic account of it. Massacre
